During 1974 and 1975 he is working with Jon Lord, the keybord player and composer of the classic rock band "Deep Purple". At their first mutual concert in Munich at the concluding event of "Prix Jeunesse" of the Bavarian Broadcast Station the official members were blocking their ears while the young audience was dancing between the seat rows. Two LPs are produced: "Windows" and "Sarabande". The guitarist Andy Summers and the drummer Peter York are part of the production.

Two years later Andy Summers gets to Munich to record with Eberhard Schoener. Is wants to set up a new group together with the bass-player and singer Sting and the drummer Stewart Copeland. So far they had just released one single "Roxane" - without any big success. Sting and Stewart are coming also to Munich to work with Eberhard Schoener for the following months to complete the album and the TV-production "Video Magic". They join for an extended tour which uses Laser for the first time as an artistic medium. Police performs as warm up band. Their song "Roxane" is starting to succeed. "Laser In Concert" is the name of the project and the laser-technology is flown in from the USA.
