Two years later -in 1995- Eberhard Schoener starts with the composition
to his first Short-Opera.
It refers to the last hours of Klaus Nomi's life and his dream to
sing as an Opera singer on stage. It is Eberhard Schoener's hymn
to his friend Klaus Nomi. Kurt Moll, a world famous baritone, finds
this project so intriguing that he accepts a part.
The second Short-Opera is called "Palazzo dell'Amore".
At the Palazzo Té in Mantua (Italy) the two famous love couples
of the occidental literature come together: Romeo and Julia, Amor
and Psyche. In those destinies, which became myths, all the numerous
aspects of love are reflected.
Again Gianna Nannini is part of it as she is singing the part of
Romeo. For the part of Amor Eberhard Schoener engages the at the
time unknown Andrea Bocelli. He will be singing a duo together with
Helen Schneider (Psyche) and in addition a quartette together with
Gianna Nannini and Nidia Palacios (Opera of Frankfurt): A play with
voices from very different domains.
The connection of all such elements and the relationship that Eberhard
Schoener is building with all of "his" artists is the
unusual in all of these constellations.
